Maver poles picked up two awards at the recent EMAP National Angling Awards ceremony in Peterborough. With the pole awards split into three categories (up to £500, up to £1,000 and over £1,000), it was testiment to Maver's quality products that two out of the three awards were collected. The Messiah claimed top spot in the Best Pole up to £1,000 category while the awesome M57 was voted by the EMAP judging panel as the best pole over £1,000. |

Here's what Angling Times (Tuesday October 18th edition) had to say about our award winning poles:
MAVER MESSIAH
"Our judges thought the award for this price band was probably the most sought after in the pole category and it took an exceptional product to win it.
That honour went to Maver's 16m Messiah, a pole that proved unbelievably stiff, light and strong and, with its 16s elastic rating, more than capable of handling large bags of big commercial pool carp, while retaining the genuine ability to fish canals.
A host of innovative features combined with one of the finishes in the pole industry made this £999 package a natural winner in what proved to be the most keenly fought category."

MAVER M57
"Once again, Maver UK boss Phil Briscoe stepped up to claim top honours in the highest-priced pole category with his flagship M57.
With a price tag of a cool £2,500 you'd expect something special but our judges described this 16m pole as: "Utterly outstanding." In terms of weight, balance, rigidity and overall 'feel' this pole should be top of the shopping list if you get all six numbers on the lottery! Maver has dominated the pole category in the National Angling Awards for several years now."
